Introduction

Just Notes ("we", "our", "the app") is a private notes and file vault application for Android. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data we collect

Just Notes is designed with a privacy-first approach. Here is what the app accesses:

• Location data: Used solely to power the geofence auto-lock feature. Your GPS coordinates are processed on-device to determine whether you are inside or outside your safe zones. Location data is never transmitted to any server, never stored remotely, and never shared with third parties.
• Notes, photos, and files: All content you store in the vault is saved locally on your device. We do not have access to your content, cannot read it, and do not upload it anywhere.
• Biometric data: Fingerprint and face authentication are handled entirely by your device's secure hardware. We never receive or store biometric data.
• Subscription status: If you subscribe to Pro, we use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID and purchase receipt — no personal information.

Advertising

The free version of Just Notes displays banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data according to Google's Privacy Policy. Pro subscribers do not see any ads, and no ad-related data is collected for them.

Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — Ad serving (Privacy Policy)
• RevenueCat — Subscription management (Privacy Policy)
• Google Play Services — Core functionality (Privacy Policy)

Data storage and security

All notes, files, and vault content are stored locally on your device using the app's private storage directory. Data is not backed up to any cloud service unless you explicitly do so through your device's built-in backup settings. Your PIN and authentication preferences are stored securely using Android's SharedPreferences with private mode access.

Children's privacy

Just Notes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Permissions explained

• Location (fine, coarse, background): Powers the geofence auto-lock feature. Background location allows geofence monitoring when the app is closed.
• Biometric / Fingerprint: Enables fingerprint and face unlock for the vault.
• Storage / Media: Allows protecting photos and files within the vault.
• Internet: Required for ads (free users) and subscription verification.

Your rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through Android Settings. No account creation is required, and no personal data is stored on our servers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
